We offer many different forms or styles of yoga. All of our teachers
are experienced and offer the highest standard of teaching. We encourage
students to find the right class and teacher. Student comfort, safety
and enjoyment is our utmost concern. Please let your teacher know
before class of any injury, serious illness or if you are pregnant
or recently had a baby. Classes marked with ** are new.
Anusara Yoga - Anusara yoga is a school of hatha yoga which unifies a life-affirming Tantric philosophy of intrinsic goodness with Universal Principles of Alignment™. The practice is epitomized by a "celebration of the heart" that seeks to see the Divine in all people and all things. This allows students of all levels of ability and yoga experience to be honored for their unique differences, limitations, and talents.
Baby and Me - is a Postnatal Yoga classto support the body's recovery after birth. Postures, breathing techniques, and meditation offer a practice that supports healing, relaxation, and toning. Mothers bring their babies for an experience that incorporates yoga and bonding with the baby. Baby's ages range from one month to walking (around one year). These classes are a wonderful way to connect with other new mothers in a supportive and healthy environment. Dad's are also welcome to join the fun of doing yoga with a young one.
Basic Yoga - provides a strong foundation in the practice of yoga, integrating breath, movement and posture. Students of any age and experience are invited to experience the benefits of as they are guided through each pose safely using alignment and breath.
Dynamic Vinyasa - is a fun, challenging and inspiring class focusing on the integration of breath and movement. Special emphasis is placed on alignment to create a strong foundation for poses, resulting in strong, flexible, happy bodies and calm, serene minds.
Funyasa Yoga - is all about the joy of movement. Classes are thoughtfully paced, and are open to all levels, so everyone makes their own cathartic study of the body, breath and beyond. Natalie layers cues on body-consciousness with cues on awareness of underlying patterns in thought and emotion, so each class is an act of self-discovery. The energizing effect of challenging power-vinyasa sequencing is tempered by deep, delicious stretching for an overall good time.
Kid's Yoga - for kids 4 -11 years of age. A wonderful way for kids to stretch, play, strengthen, relax and meditate.
Kundalini Yoga - is an esoteric practice placing emphasis on healing and awareness. It involves breath, movement and meditation to integrate body, mind and spirit. This practice opens up the pathways for receiving spiritual guidance, healing and transformation.
Prenatal Yoga - combines stretching, breathing, and meditation to relax you as you prepare your body and mind for the big day! Classes are open to all levels of experience and stages of pregnancy.
Restorative Yoga - is the yoga of non-doing; it is the core practice underlying the essence of yoga. Even those with an active dynamic practice will benefit greatly from the inner peace and deep release of a restorative class. It is the practice of entering into yoga postures using props. This yoga is connecting with Yin energy, with inspiration from Yin Yoga. Each posture is experienced as profoundly relaxing and deeply rejuvenating, invoking a natural state of healing rest, renewal and equanimity. Supported and passive yoga postures allow the body to naturally release, letting go of held tension and stress.
Skanda Yoga - is a breath inspired, alignment based power vinyasa style. The warrior spirit is invoked to establish a transformation, and the energy of the Mayan calendar is embodied to align with nature's cyclical patterns. The class is fun, challenging, inspiring, and self-empowering. All classes are for intermediate to advanced practitioners, but are open to beginners with a strong desire to learn.
Skanda with Lina - Lina shares her knowledge of the Mayan calendar showing us how to incorporate its guidance and wisdom into our daily lives. With an intuitive heart, compassion and humor, she leads students into their own personal transformative vision. As the body is strengthened, the mind becomes clear and the heart opens to new experiences ans a higher potential.
The Practice - is an advanced Skanda Yoga practice designed to develop the spirit of the warrior. It includes inversions, arm balances, hip openers, backbends, twists, forward bends, and pranayama. The class is open to anyone seeking a transformation, and a desire to manifest the new.
Vinyasa Flow - level 1/2 - A fun, challenging
and inspiring class. Focused on the integration of breath and movement.
Special emphasis being put on strength, flexibility and alignment
of the body and mind.
Yoga for Alignment - is a class where we consider Yoga as a holistic integration, approach in our Life. We use props to allow a proper alignment in the asanas (yoga postures). We bring awareness and awaken the intelligence of the body. In the practice you experience the yoga postures (asanas) as profoundly strengthening and liberating; guiding you toward a state of alertness and relaxation: sattvik. The asanas, and pranayama (breathing techniques) affect your emotional, mental, and physical state. Yoga for Alignment is Union. You receive teachings on how to integrate yoga in your everyday life. Advanced practitioner will benefit highly from this class, to improve the alignment in their practice and integration of Yoga. Beginners will receive a deep, holistic understanding of yoga, and appropriate alignment in the asanas.
The Wall - is an adaptation from the Iyengar Yoga tradition. This class uses the wall as a prop to aid students in alignment, going deeper in poses and holding poses longer. Students can progress in their own practice in a safe manner while opening the energy flow of the body to aid healing. The Wall sequence includes standing poses, hip openers, shoulder work, inversions, back bends and spinal regeneration.
